 Looking for a washing machine hose? It's a common thing that people need that doesn't always come with the washing machine. Or maybe you're the unfortunate victim of a burst washing machine hose. A washing machine hose is the transfer vessell of both hot and cold water to the washing machine. You need a hose for each temperature of water. There are basically 2 types of hoses you'll be running into: Installing a washing machine hose can also be very important. Just because it works does not mean that it was done right. It is stated that their failure rates are lower then that of reinforced rubber, but we do not really have any valuable test data to back that up. I'm sure there are probably those "handymen" who think they're worthless, but that doesn't necessarily make it true. How much more does stainless-steel reinforced hoses cost anyways? You are probably looking at $10 dollars compared to the $5 dollars you can get rubber hoses for. Not a huge difference, so take the time to make a decission before you buy anything. Remember that you are entrusting these hoses to protect your house from any major leaks. A busted washing machine hose can cause a lot of water damage to your house. The worst case scenario is if it leaks on a hardwood floor with a basement below it. This can cause a lot of wood damage and weaken the foundation of your floor.
